I joined CBFFJ shortly after losing my father in April 2020. I had watched with horror the impact of Covid in Italy and Spain as the pandemic spread to the UK, and couldn’t understand why our government wasn’t doing more, much earlier. My father was hospitalised in March, and then two days later my mother too. After he died, I swore I would do everything in my power to ensure that others wouldn’t needlessly lose their lives - something I had to witness again and again as the government failed to learn lessons from the first wave.
Professionally I am a Senior Music Therapist, service manager and clinical supervisor with extensive communications and project management experience within the non-profit, education, community and Arts sectors.
My dad believed passionately in justice, and always went out of his way to help others. I believe that learning lessons to save lives in the future is the justice he would have wanted.
